Welcome to The Parkgate Hotel.

We hope the following information will help with your upcoming visit and answer some frequently asked questions.

The Parkgate Hotel is located on Westgate Street in the city of Cardiff, just a 7-minute walk from Cardiff Central railway station.  There are several bus stops nearby, the closest of which are around a 1 minute walk from the hotel.

Please note there is no drop-off or baggage drop area outside the hotel.

Cardiff is well connected and can be easily reached by road (M4 motorway) and rail (Cardiff Central Station) from all major UK cities, and also from many international and UK destinations direct by air via Cardiff Airport.  The T9 bus service offers a direct link from Cardiff Airport to Cardiff City Centre and the bus stop is located directly outside the airport terminal.

The Parkgate Hotel is located in the centre of Cardiff city, therefore we are unable to offer on-site parking or valet parking services. Thanks to its convenient location, there are a range of public transport options, as well as public car parks, within walking distance of the hotel.

The Parkgate Hotel do not operate or own any of these car parks and do not accept liability for any loss or damages in the car park.

 

Important

When there is a major event in Cardiff, there can be road closures. Please check for road closures before your journey to the car park.

Check-in is from 4.00pm on the day of arrival and check-out on the day of departure is at 11.00am.

Occasionally, we may be able to accommodate an earlier check in, but this is subject to availability on the day and cannot be assured in advance. Late departures are by prior arrangement, subject to availability and may attract an additional premium.

Guests wishing to drop off their luggage before their room is ready may do so with the Guest Service Desk.

Access to the Thermal Suite and the Hydrotherapy Pool must be booked in advance online or by calling +44 (0)2922 745595.

Discounted rates are available to hotel guests for the Thermal Suite.

All dining reservations must be booked in advance, this also includes breakfast for hotel guests.

You can view menus and place dining reservations quickly online. Hotel guests will receive an email a week before and on the day of their arrival with more dining information.

Please note The Parkgate Hotel does not accept cash or cheque payments. Payments can be made contactless via card or our mobile app.

A £50 per night, credit/debit card pre-authorisation will be required at the time of check-in, Pre-authorisation amounts are reserved funds which will reduce your available balance, these may show on your statements. Pre-authorisation amounts are held by your card issuer, at check-out the reserved funds or credits will be released by the hotel, the processing time varies with different card issuers.
