The Postmaster Suite
With its stunning features and elegant atmosphere echoing the hotel’s historic grandeur, The Parkgate Hotel’s largest function space takes its name from its former life as Cardiff’s grand old Post Office, opened in 1897 to mark the year of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.
This exceptional room makes a memorable setting for larger meetings, dinners, weddings and events of all kinds. The flexible space includes its own private pre-event bar area and can be divided into smaller spaces to provide just the right backdrop for every occasion.

The Mail Room
The Mail Room is a private meeting space, perfect for smaller team meetings, presentations and workshops.
The space comes complete with features that facilitate hybrid working, such as a 98″ touch screen with fully integrated Microsoft Teams setup with camera and table microphones.
The Mail Room is an ideal location for an additional function space to support large events taking place in the Postmaster Suite.

The Parkgate Hotel is located on Westgate Street in the city of Cardiff, just a 7-minute walk from Cardiff Central railway station.
Cardiff can be easily reached by road (M4 motorway) and rail (Cardiff Central Station) from all major UK cities, and also from many international and UK destinations direct by air via Cardiff Airport. The T9 bus service offers a direct link from Cardiff Airport to Cardiff City Centre and the bus stop is located directly outside the airport terminal.
